Instructions

Please complete the form with all required information. Forms must be filled out completely and accurately to be accepted.

PLEASE NOTE: An $80 fee will be applied for processing and can be paid online AFTER the form has been accepted and the fee has been applied to the permit. Payment options may be found on the Online Services page our website using the link below. In accordance with New Castle County Code, permit extensions may be granted for up to 180 days. If more than 180 days is required to bring the permit current, an $80 fee for each 180-day period will be charged. The permit inspection history will be reviewed, and the applicant may be contacted to schedule a field inspection.

This application shall be based upon consideration of all pertinent surrounding circumstances including the reasons for the delay, plans for completion, and the appearance and safety of the structure. For additional permit extension information see Chapter 6 of the New Castle County Code.
